Feeling better!

I have been home from the Hospital for five days now and I am feeling much better! The surgery went well, I am still in a bit of pain but trying to ween myself off the pain killers. Even though the are quite good. I should have my test results back sometime before Thanksgiving. I am just taking things slow and spending a lot of time in bed still. So thanks for all the help and prayers.

the ongoing saga!

So tomorrow morning I am going in to the hospital for surgery, I am fine! I just have had extremely large cysts on my ovaries(which are also very large) for awhile now. We discovered them while I was pregnant this summer anyhow it is something the Dr. wanted to keep an eye on to see if they would shrink but the haven't. So tomorrow he will be removing them and making sure it isn't something worse. I have to spend the night and will hopefully be home Friday sometime. I will let you all know how it goes! We are quite positive about everything, but some extra prayers for us couldn't hurt. Love you all!

yes I know I need to update my Blog!

I know it has been along time between entries, and I don't have that much going on;however most of you know how I love photos and I can't get any to load. Every time I try to upload a photo the computer crashes. So that is the real reason all of my stories have photos to go with them.

Well not to much is going on. Really!

Rosalind is loving school! We just got her school photos back today they are super cute! I will have to scan it and post it. She did have to get glasses at the start of kindergarten, and the do make a difference. He 6th birthday is a week from yesterday. We are going bowling for it. She is her usual wild self. Some days she infuriates me more than others. Mostly I wish I could get her to clean up after herself, and to tell the truth. oh well. I have a feeling that will be an ongoing struggle between us for a long time. I love her going to school although only three hours a day seems like a waist of time some days. She is such a sweet girl!

What else?

Well Joe and I are the same. We did have to buy a new/used car about a month ago b/c the Buick stopped working! So we now have a Pontiac Montana van. Its a little bit bigger than we needed but the extra room is nice. We finally have some neighbors moving in to fill out the town houses. And two of the families have little girls, much to the delight of Rosalind. She asks every day as soon as we get home from school if she can go play. Work has been good, I am glad that the Halloween insanity is over. We have almost 2 whole weeks with not much going on! Yea!

I am looking forward to Rosalind's birthday next week and our big Liechty family thanksgiving getaway. Basicaly we rent a huge home and we all spend the weekend, eating, playing game, watching movies, laughing, mostly just enjoying not having too much to do.

So that really is about all! More soon. I promise! Hopefully I can get some pics up soon.

sad thursday

Well I think most everyone knows now but here is the news anyway. We lost the twins. I went in to the OBGYN on the 21st for an ultrasound and they could not find any heartbeats. So the same afternoon we were able to schedule a D&C and I went in for surgery. All went well, I am fine, really I am fine just tired. The Doctor says now I mostly need rest. We are very sad about what happened but know that Heavenly Father thought this was for the best and I know we will be OK. I want to thank everyone that has so willingly helped us out and for all of the prayers that have been said on our behalf. I love you all!

Anyhow, my big news is that I am finally going to have another baby, well actually two more babies. Yes that is right TWINS. So far everything is fine, I am due in mid March. So yay!

Rosalind Kathryn

With so many of our friends having new babies or babies on the way Ithought that I would post so pictures of tiny Rose. She was such a good baby, she went to everyone, I didn't have to hold her all the time, she slept through the night early on, and well she is so darn cute. Sometims I miss my little baby, but my big girl is so fun now.

The living Planet Aquarium

Last Thursday my friend from work(Val) and I decided that we should take Rosalind to the Aquarium exhibit in Sandy. The have moved from downtown SLC to 106th south 725 east. It is not a huge place, it is actually in an old grocery store but we had fun and Rosalind has asked every day when we are going back. So here are a few pictures that a took there.

Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming!

The same day we started preschool, swim lessons started. School ends at 11:30 and swim started at 11:45 in the same building so it worked out really well for us. She is doing much better in the water and I am hoping to get her in at least one more session this summer.

as she would say "I was a little freaked out!"

Kicking, no she is not swimming here the pool is only one and a half feet deep there.

Dress rehearal

I had to work during Rosalind's dress rehearsal for her first ever dance recital. The ballet studio is putting on sleeping beauty. Well I had to run home long enough to do her hair and make-up. The official pictures were taken the same day. I had joe take the camera to report back to me. He said that it was better than he expected.

At home just after I finished getting her ready!
"princess chin!"

Rosalind's best ballet friend!

pretty girl

She always knows where they should be and what they should be doing. At least she thinks she does.

More pictures to come after Saturday's performance!

the Wild Outdoors

The diversity of events that we have at Thanksgiving Point just cracks me up sometime. Well two weeks ago the Wild outdoors festival/ Stihl timbersports competition occurred. In other words lumberjack games! As usual I didn't get to see much b/c we stayed super busy. I did get Rosalind there for awhile before we had to get Joe from work. She did astonishingly well, she did have more fun things to do at this event than usual. Friday it was so windy that many people went home early. Dang windy Lehi!

This was probabally not the best place for Rosalind but she had many supervisors and it was very stable. She was watching me with the help of Jane use a two person saw! First time I have ever done that.

This would make uncle Paul very proud! She almost hit many different foam animals.
Isn't she beautiful! Can you believe that Benjamin Franklin wanted our national bird to be a turkey after seeing her!

I think this is the first time I have shot a gun since the last time I shot a b.b. gun when I was 8 at YWCA day camp!

First day of summer preschool

Here is Rosalind on her first day of summer preschool. I couldn't find a preschool open when we moved here. I found out about this summer preschool for kids going to kindergarten this fall. So really it is a nice refresher for her before she starts school in august. She goes twice a week and the class is 2 hours long. She really seems to enjoy it!
To go along with education, Joe and Rosalind have started reading the Romona books by Beverly Cleary together. He is hoping to have her reading by the end of the summer.

She was so excited!

Death Cab

Last Monday which was Memorial Day I had to work at the Death Cab 4 Cutie concert. I do like the band to I was looking forward to it, and over all it was a fun night.
People started lining up early in the day and if you remember it was raining most of the day on Monday so by the time I go there at about 4:15 they were pretty grumpy and wet. Also b/c of the rain the production crew was running way behind! Now we can't open the gates until we get the OK from the production crew, so again the crowd was mad at us even though we have very little control over when the gates open. Other than that it went pretty smoothly, and it stopped raining about the time the gates opened. Yay! It was a fun night!

Luckly she decided that she wanted both of them. Yay, I love ksl! She seems like A nice girl and I am sure the kittns will be very happy. So this is Rosalind saying goodbye to the kittens, and them with their new mommy.

Here are our cats Lucy and Aslan! I kid you not this is how they feel asleep on sunday! I think that Aslan was consoling Lucy after the kittens left.

fun saturday!

After the crazy book signing the night before I went bright(actually dark) and early at 5:45 to meet some of the ladies from our ward to go to the temple. I was actually the only one to show up which is fine, I actually like going by myself. The only problem is after being up and working so late I had problems staying awake towards the end. It was nice plus I was out and on my way home by 8:30.

I picked up breakfast for the fam and headed home so Joe could take Rosalind to the Primary activity. After we went up to Jordan Landings to see Prince Caspian, and we went out to eat at the Mayan. The Mayan is Rosalind Favorite place to eat now. They have fake cliffs and waterfalls inside and do a cliff diving show through out the evening. The night we were there they also had Indiana Jones there. The chimicangas(?) and the pork empinadas are my favorite. We had a bit of a wait out side so we took some pictures. Mostly it kept Rosalind somewhat busy.

Rosalind took this one! I like it.

Stephenie Meyer

Well here she is Stephenie, I had to work the book signing for her newest book The Host. Which I still haven't finished, but I like it so far. After working the event I have decided that I am not one of those people. I am not willing to camp out for two days to be one of th first in line. I am not willing to sit/stand for five hours to get my book signed. So I guess it is good that I get to work these things, although I got there for the event at 4 and I didn't get home till around 12:30 in the morning. It was a long fun night. I got my copies of The Host and Twilight signed, and we got our pictures taken with her.

Here we are, Kerri, Stephenie, Me, and Veronica.
