Easter festivites!

Easter Eggstreme @ Thanksgiving Point!

The all important egg dying! However we never got around to rolling them down the hill! Rosalind was quite disappointed by that!

Dinner at Don & Donna's house! Super fun as always.

Draper Temple Open House

In February we were able to go to the lds Draper Temple open house as a whole family. This was the first time that Rosalind had been able to go inside a temple, so she was very excited! Before the Temples are dedicated the church opens them for anyone who would like to tour them. It was a great experience, Rosalind especially like the brides room the chandelier looks like snow flakes.

Us riding the bus from one of the parking lots up to the Temple.

It was quite the overcastday but it made for great pictures.

We are excited to also be able to go to the Oquirrh Mountain temple open house in June.

Sushi night!

Back in January my friend Val invited us over to learn how to make sushi! It really is not all that hard. Mine just was not very pretty, the best roll I think was with cream cheese and veggies in the middle and them smoked salmon and super thinly sliced lemon. Sounds odd but it was great.

some of our creations

Joe making a roll.

one of my creations! cucumber, cream cheese, carrots, and tuna. I think!
I now want to take the sushi class next month at Thanksgiving Point.
And I need a better sushi knife

Futbol

Saturday Joe and I went to the Real Salt Lake game! They played the Kansas City Wizards. It was a beautiful day for the game; however the game wasn't so nice.
RSL lost 0-2. Oh it was sad, it was as if they had completely forgotten how to play. Usually we do so well at home!

Well despite the lack of playing we still had a great time, the stadium is so cool!
The fan are great. The little girls in front of us got mad because we were cheering to loudly. I can't wait to go to another game! That I am sure they will win.

Lucy and Precious

Lately Lucy(the cat) has a new friend to nap with, Precious(the elephant). Almost everyday I find her on Rosalind's bed sleeping upon Precious. I do have to say that if I had a giant soft elephant to sleep on I might do the same thing. Thanks again to IKEA for the elephant!

The Nature Explorer Classroom

For Family Home Evening a few weeks ago we decided to go to Thanksgiving Point to check out the ne things going on. Since last year they have added several out side hands on exhibits. It was really fun. Joe and Rosalind had fun building and it was such a nice evening.

Living planet with friends!

For some reason my friend and I thought that it would be a great idea to go to the Living Planet Aquarium on one of the last days of their spring break. Bad I idea! I have seen shorter lines at Disney World. I still think the kids had fun and it was good to visit with her! The new Amazon exhibit is really neat. We also went to Chick-fil-a for lunch. Yummy!!!

The Disney dress-up bowling party!

So it's time to play catchup on the blog! The next few posts will not be in order but you get pictures!

party nov 2008!
For Rosalind's 6th birthday she had a bowling party, and we decided everything is more fun if you dress up! It was held at Jack&Jills bowling alley in P.G., I love that if you have a birthday there you receive a used bowling pin for the party to sign and you get to keep it! Fun! The Tinkerbell outfit is a Nana Hilby creation from Halloween 07. The Rose invited some friends from school, church, and of course many a Liechty cousin! I think everyone had a great time. I loved the opening of gifts, so much squewling. I am pleased that she loved the big elephant that I found at IKEA, it was promptly named Precious and slept on the bed for many a week after. Thankfully another succesful birthday party! I can't belive 7 is only 6 months away!
