July Card class

I held a card class last week and here are the cards from it!
I try to do cards everyone needs so this time it was a masculine and feminine birthday card, a boy and girl baby card and a wedding card.

I love this birthday card! I used the hearts & stars mask to do the stars and the Amazing Birthday and The Great Outdoors sets for the stamping.

For these baby cards it is the same card but just switched out colors for the boy and girl cards.

I have always had trouble CASEing cards, basically borrowing an idea and making it our own(which is something we are encouraged to do). So I decided to give it a try. I think both cards i cased from and then created are pretty cute.
I am really not a fan of gold but it is the trend right now and I don't hate it in this card.
The card to the right is one from a swap created by my friend Candice Anderson.

I love this card! And it was so quick!
I got the swap from convention this year but i can't find the demonstrators name, sorry!
I hope some of you can borrow some of my ideas to help you.

My favorite tool is my Big Shot

I Love My Big Shot!
I use it for almost all of my projects. I love its versatility too. You can cut way more than just paper and card stock.

Sea turtle Undefined carved stamp set

So this stamp set has been a long time in the making but after a year of  thinking I finally made it! There is a back story too! I love sea turtles and have collected them for years. Take a look at my pinterest page! When I was in high school in Georgia I spent a few summers working with a sea turtle research project on Wassa island. We would watch at night for the mama turtles to come up to nest, then we would tag and measure them and mark the nest. Later in the summer we would watch for hatching eggs and count how many came from the nest and then did up the nest to see how many eggs didn't hatch. I will post a picture from the island later. It was so much fun and I have been a bit obsessed ever since.

For my first set carved I am pretty happy with it! I plan to carve a few more shells but ran out of rubber.

Some more Recent Family Pictures!

A few years ago(2012) a darling friend our ours (Lauren) took some family pictures for us. It was a cold cold day but we had so much fun running around Salt Lake taking pictures! I suppose one day I should do something more with them. If only I had a way to!

It was so much fun that i had to go the next year!

Post Inspire Create Share 2014 update!

I spent most of last week Stampin up's convention!

It was amazing as usual! This was my fourth year and I am already planning on next year.

This year I was asked by my friend Cortney to help with a display board with a group of our other friends called the Creation Nation Design Team. I worked in conjunction with another gal to create items for a tween hipster birthday party. I love what I created and sort of wish that I had made two of everything since I didn't get to keep what I made.

I started with a cake banner! I really wanted to make pom-poms for the skewers but didn't make them big enough. I like what happened better, love a happy accident!
I used the new Little Letters Thinlits Dies for the letters

(please ignore the mess!)

Awhile ago i found a templet on Pintrest for a bowl made out of the petite purse die. I used 6 pieces and left the flap for a little extra dimension.
I think it will be super cute as a candy bowl for a party

I think this banner is my favorite! The letters are from the Simply created banner kit and I made the banner from the banner framelits.

I am not sure what to call these, utensil wraps? I loved the straws from the June paper pumpkin kit so i thought i would throw those in, and the silver ware is plastic but looks real! I have be obsessed with this camera stamp since the catalog premier and this was the perfect project for it.

I also made a few extra cards to display. I may have to use all of these for a class soon(ans the pearls)!

Here is how all of our projects looked together! It was a pleasure working with all of these talented ladies!
