Easter Morning

Rosalind with her basket! She got lots of candy, a new kite, a cranium bingo game, the movie "Enchanted"(so cute)! And some other things.

Aslan likes Rosalinds Easter Basket

Our little family egg hunt with the eggs we dye. I love her outfit!

Rosalind likes the whites of the eggs and gives the yolks to daddy

This was a great Easter! I made breakfast casserole, we did baskets, and the egg hunt. We went to church, Joe and I sang in the choir. After Kent and Beth had invited us to their home for dinner, I made funeral potatoes(yum). We played games, I got the game Killer bunnies in my basket, It is kinda hard at first but super fun! And we watched Rosalind's movie.
I love Easter, and not just for the peeps and cadbury mini eggs. I love it because of what it really is, that the Jesus Christ was Resurrected and that like him we will also be resurrected. To know that he sacrificed his own life for all of us, how blessed are we are. So for every one I don't see very often I just want to tell you that I love you and hope that you had a great holiday.

Pre-Easter fun

The day before Easter was busy for us, bright and early we were at Thanksgiving Point for the huge egg hunt. Rosalind went in her cute new Easter dress, but as usual in Utah it was to cold out even with her snow coat on. Being the smart mommy I had warm clothes waiting in the car.
I did get some cute pictures before she changed.
Joe and Rosalind spent most of the day driving around the cow train, with Rose yelling out advise for Easter Morning like "make sure to wake up your mommy and daddy before you get in your basket". Silly girl!

here are Joe and Rosalind Dying our Easter eggs.

diggin' the gravel

For months Rosalind has been wanting a shovel to dig in the gravel that is across the street where the construction is stalled for the winter. It is a favorite place to play with the kids on the street. So we were at Target and saw these cute pink little kid gardening things, as soon as we got home she had to put them to use.

Joe's Birthday

One of the fun things about my little family is that our birthdays all fall on Holidays, mine is Pearl Harbor day, Rosalind's is Veterans day, and Joe's is on St. Patrick's day. For Joe that day is great he loves the color green, and he married a leprechaun (are there female one?) This year I decided instead of inviting people to our house we would go out. I gave Joe the choice of mini-golf or bowling and he chose mini-golf. So we invited some of our friends and family to meet us at Trafalga in Orem.

I decided that I would make Joes favorite cake that his mom always made on his birthday, because it is green. Everybody seems to love it except for me, the things we do for love. The cake is basically pistachio pudding mix, white cake mix, and dream whip. I added some extra green food coloring to the icing and some shamrock sprinkles for a little extra St.Patty's fun.

So the mini golfing was fun Rosalind was quickly bored. Joe's sister-in-law Beth beat both Joe and I soundly. The most fun
was all the kids playing arcade games, and then buying stupid
stuff with the tickets. I think a good time was had by all!

Spring Craftiness!

So this is a little bit of catch up now that I have figured out how to up load photos, thanks to joe. So I started and finished both of these projects last week. First my little cross-stitch I love, the pattern came from a little company called Lizzie Kate I love their stuff and their name! Now I just need to frame it. I am thinking one of those recycled rustic wood frames from Roberts arts and crafts. Second the spring letters we made with some help of my friend TeNeal for our March craft enrichment activity!

Starting out

I have been thinking about doing this for a while. So here is my blog. I am fore warning you that my life is not too glamorous, but sometimes it is entertaning. I have been married to my honey joe for close to 7 years. We live in Lehi Utah. We have a little girl named Rosalind who is 5, she is currently across the street playing with her friends. I am a stay-at-home mommy, which is difficult at times but I can't dream of doing anything else. I also am a body shop at home consultant: however I am not as consistant as I would like to be with it. As of late I have been volunteering at Thanking Point as the assistant volunteer coordinator, and am wait to see if I get hired on part time. I like to cook/bake(I make a mean loaf of bread), take photos, scrapbook, cross stitch, read, play with friends, and spend time with family. I have to say life is good, sure there are things I would like to change but thats just the way it goes. I hope you enjoy my blog!
