So here we go again!

I know that I have been slacking from the whole blogging world, but we have had a lack of the internet at our house lately. Now we are back online(weather that it good or bad is yet to be determined) so i shall continue my ramblings of our boring life and sharing way to many pictures. So for give my bad grammar, punctuation, and spelling. And enjoy our adventures. I am starting today and working backwards until I catch up picture wise.

Christmas time festivities part 2

More of our Christmas fun!
Even though I am not working at Thanksgiving Point any more there are some activities that we can't miss out on. Like breakfast with Santa, it is always fun for Rosalind and she looks forward to going every year. Maybe one yer we will buy tickets for real and go the normal way and not have to work while we are there. I love getting our family picture with Santa each year.
Christmas Eve at Joan and Paul's house!
I really think that Rosalind would revolt if we didn't go to Evanston on Christmas Eve.
This year Leslie and Erin planned a live Nativity program' it is convenient that most years the family has had a baby small enough to play baby Jesus. Rosalind was a sheep, of her own choice. It was all very sweet, and Zach was a lovely donkey.
As always the food was great.
Singing songs and exchanging gifts was fun.
Thank you all you Barnards for planning such a fun event every year!
Before all of the Christmas craziness really starts we opened our gift at home. I got really cute boots from Joe, but they didn't fit (stupid fat calves)! Rosalind got almost every thing she asked for , and the cats enjoyed the marble track she got from Santa. I believe Joe was happy with his new wii game too. Fun morning!
We then headed over to Cathy and Brad's house to exchange gifts with them and to visit.

And last but certainly not least was Don and Donna's house for Christmas dinner. Yum!
Jim (Donna's dad) made a Turducken! It was really good, especially the Duck part. Donna planned a live nativity as well and this time Rosalind was an angel and very cute. Donna took everyone's picture as families to send to Jeffery (their son who is severing a mission in Canada). Another successful party Donna! Not that that is a surprise to anyone.

The rest of the holiday was fun. Joe took the week off, we went back to Don and Donna's for New Years eve for lots of appetizers and to play games.
It was a fun holiday as usual.

Christmas time festivities part 1

This year we didn't do gingerbread houses at Thanksgiving so we did your own at home. Thank goodness for the premade ones at IKEA. I think they turned out pretty cute.

For Rosalind's christmas recital at ballet the were sugarplumb fairies. The performance was at the studio, for any one that want to see it we do have video of it. For now I think her dreams of being a ballerina are done for, she didn't want to continue with the lessons.
Our wards christmas party was really fun. We had breakfast with Santa, really yummy breakfast burritos and cinnamon rolls(thanks to Emily and her elves.) We sang carols with Santa and he read us all a story and then everyone (who wanted to) was able to talk with Santa.
The school concert
It was so cute, again if you want to see the video we have it, luckly for us the 1st graders went twards the begining thus we didn't have to stay for the whole thing.

More Christmas to come in the next post!

KITTENS!

Introducing the two newest members to our little family.
Wyborn(the orange one) and Coraline(the black and white one)
You may ask what was the insiration, well I have one word MICE. I was tired of mice in the house, and I haven't seen a single one since we got the kittens. They are pretty darn cute. Thank you KSL classifieds for free kittens.

these are pictures from when we first got them, they are much bigger now.

Rosalind is 7!

This year for the birthday we were more lo key and it was great. Rosalind invited friends to our house, we watched UP, made homemade pizza, ate cupcakes and ice cream, and opened gifts. It was a fun night and we are glad that Rosalind has such good friends.

Also thanks you Nana for the plaid dress, sparkely sweater, locket, and pretty hat. Love you!

Oh! Look I actually finished some projects. Its a miracle

Yes here are my finished cross stitch projects from 2009
The Thanksgiving and the Santa are old project I never finished after stitching them, and the others I did this year. I think my Favorite is the Halloween one, Rosalind insisted I do it after she saw it at the shop. BTW the sizes do not reflect any accurate sizes.

Halloween fun 2009

This year the Rose wanted to be a vampire. Nana as usual made the costume, she did an awesome job! Here are a few pictures of her all dressed up. Joe did the make up, pretty scary!

the Barnyard Boo and Scarecrow festival at Thanksgiving point.
My favorite picture is the one with Rosalind pretending to be a zombie pirate.

Pumpkin carving and the ginger bread haunted house
Trick-or-treating and what not
We had so much fun going out the friends to trick-or-treat, at the ward party, and as always aunt Donna's Halloween festivities.

Aggie Ice cream

I went up to Logan in october for a Stampin' up retreat, and I had to get some aggie icecream before I had to leave. Yum! If I had a larger freezer at home I would have bought more to keep here.
